15th November 2009 BARFC lost their first cup game of the season being put out
the Essex Junior Trophy losing 3 - 1 to Great Danes from
Brentwood.
8th November 2009 BARFC 6 game winning streak came to an end after losing
3-2 to Skipper Rangers in a Division 3 league match.
1st November 2009 BARFC started November with a win after beating Harberts
'A' in a wet and windy morning at Northbrooks, the game
saw Owen net a hat trick and goals for Blackburn, Wright
and Mercer
25th October 2009 BARFC cruised into the second round of the Essex Junior
trophy with a 7 - 3 win over Saffron Walden side Littlebury,
the game saw Owen grab a hat trick, Blackburn bag a
brace and Wookey and Mercer converting from midfield.
11th October 2009 BARFC finally put some points on the board in Division 3 after
a 4 - 1 victory over Harberts at Northbrooks, goals included
a hat trick for Owen, and Marrington converted the other.
5th October 2009 Tom Mercer has been voted the player of the month for the
month of September with 60% of the vote.
4th October 2009 BARFC open their Champions Leagues account with a 8-5
victory over rivals Matching Reserves. 6 goals from Owen and
one each for Mercer and A Blackburn.
27th Sept 2009 BARFC make it to the Essex Junior Trophy first round after
beating Bridge Street Hearts from Chelmsford 4 - 3 in the
preliminary round.
20th Sept 2009 BARFC outclass Division 2 outfit Matching Utd beating them
3-1 on their own home turf
17th Sept 2009 BARFC sign Ryan Parker for the 2009-10 season
11th August 2009 BARFC swoop to complete four new signings for the 2009-10
season with Tom Mercer, Laurence Allen, Elliot Foster and
Dan Newberry all putting pen to paper for the season.
9th August 2009 BARFC battled bravely to draw 5 - 5 with London Saturday
side Old Aldenham, the game was some top draw goals from
BARFC including a brace for Owen and Marrington
15th July 2009 BARFC sadly announce the departure of the following players
from the squad at the end of 2008-09 season:- James Drake,
Seamus O'Brien, Ashley Alderson and Darran Griffiths. The
club would like to thank the players for their services and
wish them luck for the future.
12th July 2009 BARFC suffered their first defeat since early this year with a
3 - 1 friendly loss to FC Clark.
5th July 2009 BARFC got their pre-season off to a winning start with a 3-0
win over Archers Dart at Passmores, the game saw Mercer
get a brace on his debut and Payne scored to secure the win.
2nd July 2009 BARFC officialy start there pre-season campaign this Sunday
with a friendly against Div 5 side Archers Dart.
28th May 2009 BARFC 2009-10 campaign begins on Thursday June 4th with
training at Passmores astroturf from 20:30, the management
will be in touch with every player prior to this session with
further details.
6th May 2009 BARFC held there season awards presentation tonight at
Harlow Greyhound Stadium, the winners of the player awards
were:-
Player of Season - James Ashman
Player's Player of the Season - John Gifford
Chairman's Player of the Season - Dan Wright
Most Improved Player - Rick Saye
Top Goalscorer - Gary Owen
20th April 2009 BARFC season ended on an added high as the 100th goal this
season was scored in the 2 - 0 victory over Harberts in our
final Division 5 fixture. A mix around in the squad wasn't a
problem as Hobbs and Marrington sealed the victory and
increased the teams unbeaten run to 10 games.
6th April 2009 BARFC were today crowned as Division 5 League Champions
after beating Harberts 4 - 0 at Northbrooks, congratulations
to the whole squad who have excelled this season and
fully deserve to bring home the Title.
30th March 2009 Steve Hannam has won the player of the month award for
March after some impressive displays inbetween the sticks.
21st March 2009 Our final two league games of this season have now been
announced, if BARFC pick up maximum points from these
final 2 games, it will bring home the Division 5 Title, see the
fixtures/Results tab for more details.
15th March 2009 BARFC continued their good league form after a comfortable
3 - 0 win over Archers Dart at Ladyshot, the game saw Owen
net a hat-trick and Alderson returning from injury to help
keep a clean sheet.
8th March 2009 BARFC were the first team to enter there names into the
honours list of the season after winning the Division 5 Cup
beating league rivals FC Clark 3 - 0 at Barrows Farm. A big
well done goes out to all the players involved who worked
hard to bring the trophy into the Brookside Trophy cabinet.
1st March 2009 BARFC kept up the pace in the league race, after a 5-3 win at
home to Rouge Lyon 'A' With 5 goalscorers for the second
week running the pick being Wookey 70 yard run and a 1 - 2
with Wright before slotting home.
28th February 2009 Congratulations to James Woodhouse who has won the
player of the month competition for February, he won with
45% of the vote
25th February 2009 Well done to Ashman, Drake and Owen who all debuted for
the HDFL Junior Rep Team in a match at Barrows Farm.
22nd February 2009 BARFC moved a step closer to the Division title after beating
Sewerdstone Reserves 5-2 at Townmead, 5 Different BARFC
players managed to find the net.
20th February 2009 BARFC fixtures for March have been released, see the
fixtures/results tab for more information.
15th February 2009 BARFC have reached the final of the Division 5 Cup after
beating Maiden Reserves 6 - 1 in the Semi-Final. The game
included a brace for Wright and goals from Drake, Hobbs,
Ashman and Woodhouse.
9th February 2009 BARFC Game v.s Harberts has been moved to a later date
to accomodate the re-scheduled game vs Maiden Reserves
in the Div 5 Cup.
8th February 2009 Due to adverse weather conditions, BARFC Div 5 Cup semi
final v.s Maiden Reserves has been called off, the game will
be re-scheduled for a later date.
5th February 2009 Rick Saye has won the player of the month award for Jan
2009, Rick won the award with 56% of the votes.
1st February 2009 BARFC continued there excellent form in the league after
dispatching Archers Dart 6 - 1 at Passmores, the game saw
on form strikers Wright and Drake both secure a brace.

18th January 2009 BARFC returned to the summit of Div 5 after a convincing
9 - 4 victory over title rivals FC Clark Reserves, incuding four
goals for Owen and a brace each for Drake and Wright.
11th January 2009 BARFC Game with Harberts Old Boys 'A' has been called off
due to our home pitch Ladyshot being frozen.
3rd January 2009 BARFC game with Archers Dart has been cancelled due to
the opposition having a cup fixture on the 18.01.09, we will
now have a Division 5 fixture vs FC Clark Res on this date.
1st January 2009 Happy New Year to all at BARFC from the management
team, lets hope 2009 brings us the success we have been
working to achieve.
17th December 2008 January's fixtures have been released, please see the

15th December 2008 As there a no more fixtures in December, you can now vote
for player of the months on the player stats menu.
14th December 2008 BARFC Division 5 game vs FC Flojet has been cancelled
due to FC Flojet being unable to fulfill the fixture, BARFC
is awaiting the result of the charge to the opposition club,
and expects to be rewarded the 3 points for the game.
7th December 2008 Three more points in the league for BARFC as they beat
Rouge Lyon 'A' 5 - 2 to move one point away from top spot
in Division 5.
30th November 2008 BARFC went crashing out of the League Cup today after
an entertaining 5 - 4 defeat, goals came from Marrington,
Wright and a brace for Ashman.
23rd November 2008 The Div 5 Cup match with FC Flojet has been postponed due
to a frozen pitch, the game will be re-scheduled for a later
date.
18th November 2008 Today BARFC Learnt there last fixtures to bring 2008 to a
close, with two more league games against Rouge Lyon 'A'
and FC Flojet.
16th November 2008 BARFC bounce back from there defeat last week in the
Essex Cup after beating Maiden Res 5 - 0 at Barn Mead,
with 5 different players getting on the scoresheet in the
absense of Drake and Owen.
9th November 2008 BARFC Crash out of the Essex Junior Trophy after losing
8 - 2 to Chelmsford Prem Division side Sevens F.C. BARFC
did lead 2 - 0 with goals from Wright but an awful second
half performance condemned the side to defeat.
5th November 2008 John Gifford has been selected to deputise as Captain of
BARFC in the absense of Seamus O'Brien who is away on
holiday, the club would like to wish John the best of luck in
his new role.
2nd November 2008 BARFC take another 3 points at home after beating Barrett
Rangers 2 - 0 at Ladyshot including goals from Marrington
and Wright.
28th October 2008 James Drake has won the player of the month vote for
October after scoring 3 goals in as many games, he won
with 35% of the vote.
26th October 2008 BARFC return to winning ways after a 4 - 2 victory in tough
conditions including a free kick banged in by Hobbs.
21st October 2008 Novembers fixtures released, 5 fixtures next month with 2

19th October 2008 BARFC suffer there first competitive defeat of the season
after losing 6 - 3 vs FC Clark Res.
18th October 2008 The new BARFC home kit for season 08/09 will be unveiled
in early November.
16th October 2008 Today BARFC have received the news of all there opposition
in the next cup rounds for us. In the Essex Trophy we travel
to Chelmsford to play Sevens FC. In the league cup we take
on fellow Div 5 side Maiden Res FC, and finally in the Div 5
cup we take on FC Flojet.
12th October 2008 BARFC progress to the second round of the Essex Junior
Trophy after a strong 5 - 1 victory over HDFL Division 3 side
UG Utd, the game included a come back goal for Wookey and
tidy finishes by Drake, Woodhouse, Wright and Payne.
6th October 2008 This weeks scheduled Division 5 match v.s Rouge Lyon A
has been re-scheduled due to BARFC progression in the
Essex Junior Trophy, the game will be played at a later date.
5th October 2008 BARFC reach the Second Round of the Essex Junior Trophy
after a thrilling 7 - 5 victory over FC Vorranova of Chelmsford
including a hat trick again for Gary Owen.

1st October 2008 John Gifford is voted player of the month for September,
he won with 38% of the votes.
28th September 2008 BARFC proposed Essex cup fixture has been moved to
Sunday 5th October after confusion due to an Essex FA
typo error in the handbook results in todays game been
unfulfilled.
21st September 2008 BARFC reach the 2nd round of the League cup after a hard
fought victory over division 4 side FC FEL, BARFC will play
Maiden Res in the next round.
14th September 2008 BARFC kept a 100% record in division 5 with a confident 8-1
smashing of Barrett Ranges, the game included a birthday
present for Owen who netted 6 times.
8th September 2008 There has been a fixture change for the 28.09.08, our game
against Archer's Dart has been re-scheduled as we have
an Essex Cup game on the 28th vs Chelmsford side
Vorrenova FC.
7th September 2008 BARFC begin the 2008/09 season in style with a 8 - 1 victory
over high rated division 5 side Maiden Res, including a hat
trick from Drake and a brace from Ashman in the drubbing.
24th August 2008 BARFC back to winning ways after a 4 - 1 victory at the Link
over Broadley Common, with goals from Owen, Wookey,
Hobbs and Barnett
10th August 2008 BARFC suffer 8 - 2 defeat at the hands of London Saturday
side Old Aldenham FC, BARFC would like to thank OAFC for
the oppourtunity of our away game in Elstree on such good
football facilities.
06th August 2008 BARFC begin the final month before the season with a 12-2
smashing of fellow division 5 team FC Flojet, with a flurry of
goals from Owen, Drake, Wookey, Ashman, Gifford, Saye,
Wright and Payne.
30th July 2008 BARFC bounce back from defeat against the first team with
a convincing victory at Goldings vs FC F.E.L, including
doubles for Ashman and Owen and a goal each for Wookey
and Drake, the game ended 6 - 3.
22nd July 2008 BARFC go down fighting in a heavy defeat against the first
team, the game ended 8 - 1 with Marrington converting
from the spot for BARFC.
20th July 2008 A 9-1 smashing of Matching Utd Res made it 5 in a row for
BARFC in a game which saw 8 goals in the second half
including a hat trick for Ashman and a brace for Wookey.
13th July 2008 BARFC today made it 4 wins on the bounce after beating
Cottingham convincingly 6 - 1, including a hat trick for
Payne and a debut goal for Gary Owen.
12th July 2008 BARFC have today accepted the challenge of the 1st team
for a friendly match on Tuesday 22nd July at Goldings.
11th July 2008 Due to fixture congestion as Goldings, BARFC match vs
Cottingham on 13th July has now been moved to United
Glass Social Club, the game will still kick off at 1030
06th July 2008 B.A.R.F.C started there official pre-season campaign with a
3rd consecutive win 3-1 over div 4 cup winners FC Flare,
goals from Woodhouse, Wookey and Ashman proved the
difference in a tough encounter.
22nd June 2008 B.A.R.F.C make it two wins on the bounce with a convincing
victory over the Archer's Dart at Goldings, goals from
Saye, Marrington and Drake sealed the victory.
18th June 2008 Brookside Athletic Reserves Club Statement: The club
would like to announce a few changes with the club in
preparation for our 08/09 campaign, first of all Paul Groves
has stepped down as Chairman after 3 years in charge, we
would like to thank him for his hard work within that time,
Kevin Payne has been elected as new club chairman. Also
the club today finalised the deal for Ladyshot as our home
pitch for the coming season.
11th June 2008 The Harlow and District Football League name our league
for our 2008-09 campaign, teams in our league are as
follows :- Harberts Old Boys A, Eppaldo, Altham Grove
Reserves, Rouge Lyon A, BARFC, Archers Dart,
Sewerdstone Rovers Res, FC Clark Res, FC Flojet and
Rectory Rangers.
08th June 2008 BARFC secure there second win in there pre-season
campaign with a 5-1 drubbing of FC Clark Res, with
Marrington, Gifford, R.Woodhouse and Wright netting
the goals.
06th June 2008 First lot of signing on fees paid in, have now raised the
money for league entry aswell as affiliation, half way there
now just need the rest to be paid in order to pay for our
pitch and towards kit for next season.
28th May 2008 BARFC raise enough money through training and match
subs to apply to the Essex FA for affiliation for the 2008-09
season, which includes entry to the Essex Junior Trophy.
27th May 2008 During training BARFC held a team meeting, players and
management given the oppourtunity to discuss clubs
progress on and off the field, main reminder to all players
that £40 signing on fee due ASAP
18th May 2008 Reserves pick up 1st win in 5 - 1 victory over Harberts,
goals from Gifford, Hobbs, Wright and Schino sealed
the victory.
